This soft-covered book is packed with tips and techniques on how to run a logging business successfully.  The book is based on a series of articles written over a period of years and has been updated and edited for this publication.

This book was updated slightly for re-release in 2024 by the Northeastern Loggers’ Association. In most cases the text is the same as the original. In some case financial calculations were updated using contemporary cost figures. Outdated references were removed, and some were updated. Every effort was made to defer to Benjamin Hoffman’s writing style and intentions in updating this publication.
